The Value Of Tae Kwon Do Training in Boston
By teaching Tae Kwon Do in its traditional form (rather than just as a sport) students get to learn a complete
self-defense system that contains grappling, sweeps, arm-locks and escapes from various holds etc. This side of
Tae Kwon Do is often not presented to a student and in fact many Tae Kwon Do practitioners are unaware that the
system they are learning contains these things. If you though Tae Kwon Do was just about punching and kicking you
need to come and take one of our classes at
Roshankish Tae Kwon Do Boston. A Schedule of classes can be accessed by
clicking here.
Our training facility is an 8000 sq ft air-conditioned, clean and airy matted studio, with a weights and cardio area
and has an abundance of training aids, such as kick shields, hand pads, kick pads etc. Our student to black belt/instructor
ratio is kept low, so the beginner will always have someone near at hand to help and guide them through. As a
traditional school we emphasize the responsibilities that the higher belts have to the newer students. We have a policy
that all students shake each other’s hands before a class starts so as to make sure every individual is recognized and
made to feel welcome.
It is this warm and inclusive environment as well as an exceptional training program and facilities, which has lead us to
being recognized as one of the top Tae Kwon Do schools in New England. Master Ali Roshankish remains on good terms with
the other Tae Kwon Do schools in the area and is an integral part of the Tae Kwon Do community in Massachusetts often
working as a judge/referee in state competitions.
Roshankish Tae Kwon Do also has an adults and children’s competition teams. Although the focus of training at Roshankish
Tae Kwon Do is non-competitive in nature, stressing traditional rather than sport values, many of the schools fighters
compete in both regional and national competitions. The success the school has enjoyed in such tournaments and events show
how a traditionally trained martial artist lacks no disadvantage when facing competitors who only train for the sport
aspect of the art/system. Students of Master Ali Roshankish have achieved Junior Olympic titles and have become members
of the U.S. Tae Kwon Do Squad, going on to represent their country on the international stage.
Whatever you are looking to achieve, that can be met by martial arts training, the instructor team at Roshankish Martial
Arts would like to help you achieve it. We believe we have a program that will benefit you both physically and mentally
and add a great value to the quality of your day-to-day life. If you would like to take us up on our offer of 1 week free
